Anyway, these headbands were made as a thank you present for a dear friend of mine who watched my girls for over 6 hours!! She is pregnant and has two beautiful girls the same ages of my daughters, we have known each other since before we were pregnant with our first, then we were pregnant at the same time and our first daughters were born with two months difference. Mine is two months older than hers. Her daughters are just cuties and I love their hair, my friend always makes sure she does their hair nicely. I think about all those things when I am making something for someone.
I was trying to make these headbands like the ones I show you on a previous post, however, as it usually happens when I am creating something, my dear husbands gave me his "guy's" point of view and decided that they looked too dull, that they needed something else.
He came up with the idea to put two flowers of different colors together. The pink one was knitted with a soft bamboo yarn. It is only 5 points wide. I made a dark purple flower and a shiny, soft, purple, little one for the middle.
I like how it looks! the flowers are bigger than the ones I made for my first headband, which makes it look even better.
I think Estrella does a very good job at modeling it, he he he. I wish I could take better pictures, I've seen this other blogs with the best pictures ever, but taking pictures is not my forte, so please excuse them!
This black one is supposed to be more elegant, it is, but as I said, I have a hard time taking good pictures, I wanted to show you what I put in the middle, which you can't see cause of the light, but in the middle I sew 6 little, shiny beads that change color with the light, they look super elegant! Too bad I can't show you with this picture. :(
The bow is a shiny, cream, wide ribbon.
The part that goes around the head is also a little wider than the pink, I like that cause it seems to stay better in place.
My friend loved them and I can't wait to see her little girls wear them. I am working on some other hair accessories, so stay tuned! Thanks for reading!
they're beautiful bea!
